Our Story

Where It All Started

Verdform was born from a simple observation: the artificial-plant industry was full of intermediaries, and the businesses who needed these products the most — hotels, restaurants, designers, retailers — were paying inflated prices for inconsistent quality, with little control over customization or lead time.

We started as a small workshop with one mission: bring real factory pricing directly to the businesses who use these products every day. Today, more than fifteen years later, that mission has not changed — we have simply scaled it.

Inside Our Factory

Every Verdform product is made in our own manufacturing facility in China. We don’t subcontract production, we don’t broker for other factories, and we don’t drop-ship from third-party warehouses. From raw material to finished tree, every step happens under one roof.

Our Craft

Behind every tree is a sequence of decisions — what shade of green captures the species honestly, how dense the canopy should be, where the trunk should curve, how the leaves move when touched. These decisions are made by people, not algorithms.

Our team blends three disciplines:

• Design — Botanical accuracy is studied before production. We reference real species, not catalog clichés.
• Material engineering — High-density PE, silk-blend fabrics, natural-wood trunks, fire-retardant compounds, UV-stable pigments. We choose materials by application, not by lowest cost.
• Hand-finishing — Trunks are wrapped by hand. Leaves are attached one at a time. Canopies are shaped piece by piece. The result is something a machine alone cannot produce.

• Quality you can verify. Every order is inspected before dispatch. Photos available on request. Defects replaced at no charge.
• Realistic timelines. We quote lead times we can hit. If we can’t, we say so before you commit.
• Responsive communication. Every inquiry gets a real reply within 24 hours — from a human, not a form letter.
• Long-term partnership. Most of our business comes from repeat orders. We work for the second order, not just the first.

A Note on Sustainability

Artificial botanicals are often dismissed as the less responsible choice. The reality is more nuanced.

A high-quality artificial tree, well cared for, lasts 5 to 8 years in interior conditions — replacing perhaps 30 to 50 live cuttings or container plants over the same period, each of which required water, transport, fertilizer, light, and eventual disposal. For commercial environments where real plants struggle (low light, fluctuating climate, inconsistent care), the lifecycle math often favors the artificial alternative.

That said, we take material responsibility seriously. We choose suppliers who meet SGS and REACH compliance, we minimize packaging waste, and we are continuously improving our material recyclability. There is more to do — and we treat it as ongoing work, not a marketing slogan.
